Garvie Lee Keith

Garvie Lee Keith, 86, passed away at his home on Monday, March 13, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born in Wake County on May 28, 1936 to James Alvin Keith and Nellie Frances Sykes. He worked at Westinghouse for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Eva Mae Keith, his son Brian (Joye), grandson Seth (Caitlin) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a true country gentleman who loved to farm and was a jack of all trades. He was soft spoken and never spoke ill towards anyone. He loved his family and treasured all the gatherings that were held at his house. He loved fried fish, ice cream and anything Eva Mae cooked. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Margie Murray and Peggy Barbour.         

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 16th at 11am at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends and family Thursday from 10am – 11am Prior at Bright Funeral Home.
