Gerard “Jerry” Andrew Sullivan Jr., a resident of Wake Forest, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Jerry was born on December 21, 1970 to Gerard and Elizabeth Sullivan (Martin) in Queens, NY. He graduated from Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY. He went on to attend and graduate from Fordham University, in Bronx, NY, with a degree in History. He moved to Wake Forest in 2006 with his wife, MaryJo where they settled and started their family.
Jerry had a passion for music, the latest technology, history, football, and making sure his children wanted for nothing. He was incredibly proud of his children’s achievements often bragging about their success with a beaming smile. It was his goal to always make them smile and have fun. Jerry was a genuine, likable guy easily acquiring lasting friendships. He made great efforts to be there in support of others whenever it was needed.
He is survived by his wife MaryJo Sullivan; daughters Sophia Grace and Charlotte Rose Sullivan; son Henry Joseph Sullivan; Aunt Joan Riordan, cousins Patricia, Kristin and Tom Macy, and Michael, Haley, and Ryan Riordan. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerard Sullivan and mother, Elizabeth Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the “Sullivan Children’s Fund” at Suntrust Bank (account ending in —7308).
Services will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, October 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest.
