Grace Gwynn Ross, 96 of Raleigh, NC passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2020 with her family at her side.
She was born to the late Sydney and Sallie Gwynn on May 24, 1924 in Charlotte NC. She was married to the late Lester Ross and they lived together for 66 years in Greensboro, NC. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne White (Paul White) of Raleigh NC and son Charles Ross of Greensboro, NC. Grandchildren; Justin White (Jessica White) of Knightdale, NC Brian White (Kristina White) of Swannanoa, NC and Kaitlyn White of Raleigh, NC.; great grandchildren Marshall White and Sadie Grace White and three more great grandchildren due in 2021.
Grace spent her childhood in Reidsville NC and then moved to Greensboro after her marriage. She worked at several places including the Reidsville Bus station, American tobacco Company, where she met her husband, Fieldcrest, receptionist for the Manhattan Project in Oakridge, TN and Brendles, in Greensboro where she was the manager of the toy department. She loved gardening, canning vegetables, cooking and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Camp Herman Baptist Church in Brown Summit, NC
A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning September 11, 2020 at the Bay Leaf Baptist Church 12200 Bayleaf Church Road Raleigh, NC. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday September 12th at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
