Gregory Allen Mims

Gregory Allen Mims, 55 of Raleigh, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021.  He was born February 5, 1966 in Wake County, NC to Ronald Walter Mims, and the late Elaine Allen.  Greg enjoyed riding his Harley, his truck, working hard, water and snow skiing, roller skating, the beach and mountains, and being with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Allen, and a cousin Tracy Allen.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Tonya Dean Mims of the residence, his step-son Hunter Woodlief and fiancé Atalie of Wake Forest, a granddaughter Raelynn Woodlief, sister Lisa Schaut and husband Randy of Wendell, a brother Tyler Mims and wife Keri of Kennesaw, GA, his father, Ron Mims and step-mother Pricilla of Marietta, GA, one niece, Jessica Stell of Wendell, and two nephews Massey Stell of Wendell, and Ryan Schaut of Raleigh, two uncles Dan Allen and wife Lou of Archers Lodge, and Roger Allen of Wake Forest, cousins  Dan Allen, II of Archers Lodge, and Michael Allen and wife Theresa of Wake Forest, Karen Ray, Glenn (John), and Steven.   

A funeral service celebrating Greg’s life will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wake Forest with Pastor Gary McNair officiating.  Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.  The family will receive friends Monday evening, November 8, 2021, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
