Harry Allen Peterson

Harry Allen Peterson, 77, of Youngsville, North Carolina passed away on October 27th at his home. He was born on November 24th, 1943 and was married to Averline Peterson for 57 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Peterson, his father, Alfred Peterson, his sister, Wanda Harper, his brothers, Ronnie Peterson and Edwin E. Peterson and his son, Allen Peterson. 

He is survived by his wife, Averline Peterson, his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Sam Smith, Sr, his grandchildren, Sam Smith, Jr, Joni Wickham, and Julie Smith, his son-in-law, Fred Wickham, his great granddaughter, Vivian Wickham, his beloved dachshund, Peanut, and a loving extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Harry enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, old movies, and UNC basketball, building wooden bird houses, making his family laugh, and sharing jelly beans with his great granddaughter.

Averline would like to thank family and friends who have helped over the past few months, especially Joe Tant, Timmy Pruett, and Anthony Cash.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Bright Funeral Home.
