Hugh Cordova " Bucky" West

Hugh Cordova "Bucky" West, 78 of Wake Forest, passed away September 8, 2021.  He was born January 15, 1943 in Lumberton, NC to the late Silas Bundy and Mary Elizabeth Salmon West.  Bucky was a member of Providence Church, and enjoyed watching TV, going out to eat, sitting in the sun, and being with his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Alice Faye Rice.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Jerry R. West of Wake Forest, two nieces, Rhonda Harabedian and husband Michael of Wake Forest, and Cindy Moore and husband Ben of Columbia, SC, two great-nieces, Rachel Moore and Cassie Rice, and four great-nephews, Josh and Chris Bolen, Peyton Schnee, and Wyatt Boltin.

A memorial celebration of Hugh’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Providence Church on Glenwood Road in Raleigh, NC with Pastor Ricky Mill officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bucky's name to the Tammy Lynn Center at nctlc.org
