James "Eddie" Brown

After a long bout with sickness “Eddie” Brown, 64, of Zebulon passed away on Monday morning July 25, 2022 at Rex Hospital.  He was born in Wake County a son of the late Imogene Dingler Brown and R.E. Brown.

As everyone knows his love of life was contagious.  He truly loved his family and was very proud of the man his son had become.  Aside from family, hunting was his favorite pastime.  Through the years he had quite a few funny stories of that!  Squirrels waking him up while he was in the tree stand, being his own duck retriever in a pond due to a stubborn dog, strange turkey encounters, etc.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3:30pm on Wednesday afternoon, August 3, 2022. The service will take place in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Will Breedlove officiating.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Connie Perry Brown, and their son, Austin Brown and his wife, Kaylah. Along with his two sisters, Peggy Amato and her husband, Chuck, as well as Ellen Hursey and her husband, Rick.  Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss him.  Eddie was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Charles, and his sisters, Charlotte and Barbara Ann.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 – 3:30 PM prior to the service on Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main Street Wake Forest, NC 27587.
