James Ray Edward Fulghum

James Ray Edward Fulghum, 67 of Knightdale, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021.  He was born April 10, 1954 in St. Petersburg, FL to Billy O. Fulghum, Sr., and Melba Moore Fulghum.  James enjoyed wood working, travelling, golfing, going to the mountains, and being with his family and friends.  He was a huge NC State fan, and enjoyed attending his nephew’s baseball games.  James loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He was preceded in death by his father, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Edyth Weaver.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Sharon Weaver Fulghum, his mother Melba Moore Fulghum of Pleasant Garden, NC, one sister, Brenda Curtis and husband Randy of Climax, NC, one brother, Billy Owen Fulghum, Jr and wife Edith of Virginia Beach, VA, a sister-in-law, Debbie Edenton of Timberlake, NC, a brother-in-law Harry Weaver and wife Vicki of Salem, VA, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service celebrating James’ life will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2021 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wake Forest with Rev. Ken Curtis officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home.
