James Ruffin Jackson

James Ruffin Jackson, 60, passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2018 in Raleigh.  He was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina, the son of Henry Jackson and Lucy (Carter) Jackson. He was loved deeply by his family and was a friend to all. He enjoyed fishing and supporting the church, especially through youth programs. 

A committal service will be held Saturday March 3, 2018 at 3 o’clock at Flat Rock Baptist Church 1529 Flat Rock Church Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday March 4, at 3 o’clock at North Raleigh Church of Christ 701 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615. The family will have a time of visitation from 2-3 pm prior to the memorial service on Sunday at North Raleigh Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Tammy Jackson children Carey Ruffin Jackson and Billie Jackson Burdis and husband Joe, and sister Janet Jackson Gorham and husband Kevin, brother-in-law Jay Stainback and wife Juliet, James Stainback and wife Debbie, father-in-law Bill Stainback, and many nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his brother Michael Leroy Jackson. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Carolina Bible Camp, 1988 Jericho Church Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028.
