Janice "Jan" Elizabeth (Grier) Bromfield

After a year’s battle with Pancreatic Cancer Jan died peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2023.

Born on Staten Island, New York to Andrew and Ethel Grier she became the little sister of Donald and Robert Grier.

She is survived by her husband Alan, daughter Pam and son Andrew.

She was grandmother to Alex, Amanda, Kristina, Grace, Andrew, Sammie and Sydney and great grandmother to Scarlet and Luna.

Although a native New Yorker she moved to Scotland for 9 years to live with Alan, where she developed a love of horses, pleasure riding and dressage, with Jason her much loved Welsh cob.

On Alan’s transfer to Canada, she spent 4 years in Toronto before his retirement to Wake Forest in 1999. She visited many countries in Europe, plus Hong Kong and Australia and many states/provinces within North America. She experienced several super-sonic flights on Concorde and the Orient- Express train.

Most recently she participated and enjoyed Zumba, Yoga and Tabata classes each week until her chemo-therapy treatment required her to stop.
