Tribute

Jeanine Renee Klotkowski, 49, of Wake Forest, NC passed away March 4, 2021 due to liver complications.

Jeanine was born November 26, 1971 to Mick and Deborah Sweeney in Cheyenne Wyoming. After graduating from East High School in Cheyenne, she studied business at Laramie County Community College.

She embraced the professional realm as an accomplished bookkeeper developing her own business in Boise, ID as well as Raleigh, NC. She was a woman of great success winning Idaho’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004. Jeanine loved people passionately and she was often found cooking her famous green chili. She was a woman who lived with generosity at the forefront of her entire being. Besides her own children, she took so much joy in being an auntie and adored her great niece and nephews. She loved life and all there was to taste, hear, and embrace: concerts, the beach, music, cooking gadgets, and home decor. In recent years, the Outer Banks beach trip was the highlight of her year when she invited countless family and friends to come and relax. She was a loyal friend, generous employer and sacrificial mother and if you were lucky enough to meet her, her determination and love-life attitude are well remembered.

Jeanine married Henry Klotkowski in October 2011 and they enjoyed 10 years together raising four boys, numerous concerts, yearly visits to Corolla and hours spent together as a team running The Bean Counter.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Sena. She is survived by her husband, Henry Klotkowski; sons Asher and Aiden Ward; step-sons Tenzin and Aidan Klotkowski; father Mick Sweeney; sister Cynthia Sweeney; nephew Jonathan Sweeney and wife Danielle, niece Jenny Fiechtner and husband Christopher; two great nephews Levi and Eli; great niece Aubrey, numerous cousins, and mother and father-in-law Janice & Frank Smith.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2-5 pm at 2709 Gross Avenue, Wake Forest.
