Jennifer Moore Hill, 50 years old, passed away unexpectedly from cancer on Wednesday, March 17.
She was a beloved member of her extended family and of the community. Family and friends considered her the glue that held them together. She was an active member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church for her whole life. She cared for babies, children, and youth there, served on staff search committees, and was an integral part of the hostess committee, cooking countless meals for church suppers and fundraisers. She was the Franklin County organizer for Relay for Life for many years. She was heavily involved in her children’s athletic teams. Jennifer graduated from Bunn High School in 1989, and Wake Tech in 1993. She managed accounts receivable for Stock Building Supply (now BMC-East) for decades. Jennifer was known for her limitless efforts to help others, for her easy laugh, for making the world’s best deviled eggs and for mastering her mom’s secret peanut butter candy recipe, and her husband’s granny’s secret chocolate cake recipe. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Edward Moore and Mamie Lee Andrews Moore, and her brother, John Edward Moore.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Bryan Hill, children Hunter and Maggie Hill, honorary son Johnathan Thomason, daughter Allison Moore Lewis and her husband Chris Lewis, and grandson Dax Lewis, sister-in-law Kelly Moore, and parents-in-law, Virgil Hill and Gloria Hill, along with many other family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Services will be handled by Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Youngsville on Sunday, March 21 from 3pm-5pm. The funeral will be held outdoors at Harris Chapel Baptist Church on Monday, March 22 at 4pm. Graveside service will immediately follow.
