John Anthony Kuzora

September 30, 1975 ~ January 6, 2022 (age 46) 46 Years Old

Tribute

On Thursday, January 6th, 2022 the world lost a brilliant mind and an even better person, John Kuzora.  John was born in New Jersey on September 30th, 1975, and has lived in Wake Forest, North Carolina for the last 19 years.  He was a loving father, son, brother and friend.

John is survived by his loving daughter, Sophia, his mother, Beverly and sisters, Kim and Kris.  John’s greatest joy in life was his daughter, Sophia. He had an unwavering commitment to her, and she was his pride and joy.  They made many beautiful plans together.  They enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, playing with their dogs and were regulars at the Wake Forest farmers market and coffee shop.

John was an academic, and will be remembered as a most intelligent man who was always at the top of his class.  Most importantly, he will be remembered as the one who was always there ready and willing to help everyone, he had such a big heart.  Whether it was with math, science, history, taking care of his mother, helping move heavy furniture or just helping those he loved with the hard things of life we all deal with daily, John was always there.

John’s faith ensures that he is in peace now with Jesus and our God and Father and will be united with all who believe and follow the Lord.

John grew up in Upper Saddle River, NJ and attended Northern Highlands High School. He went on to study at Cornell, U-Penn and Montclair State.  He was a second year law student at Campbell University and planned to become a public defender.  He wanted nothing more than to vigorously advocate for those in need.  He was always one to fight for the underdog.

As an athlete, John played football throughout high school and college, he was an offensive lineman who was signed to the Giants’ practice squad in 2000 and 2001 and then had an opportunity to play for NFL Europe on the Rhein Fire in Germany.

John loved athletics and fitness and had an entrepreneurial spirit.  He opened his first location of Kuzora Fitness in 2003.  He found immense enjoyment in supporting his clients with their goals and athletic development.  He found joy in mentoring others in his field and fostered close bonds and lifelong friendships with his clients.
