John K. Ferrell, 73, of Wake Forest, died Monday June 20,2022
John was born in Missouri on October 11, 1948 and moved to Raleigh, NC. John attended Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. John was in The Navy as a Medic and served during The Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart. John was the lead singer of many bands, including Th’ Cigaretz & The Subliminal Surge. John was commonly referred to as “Jake" or "JK” as he was an Actor in Raleigh, NC. JK’s most famous role was portraying “Jacob Marley” in A Christmas Carol.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Dr. James K. Ferrell and Dorothy Ferrell and his stepson, John Harrison McCord.
John is survived by his wife, Lisa Beth Ferrell of Wake Forest, NC, son, John Pahl Ferrell of Washington, DC, daughter, Leah Noël Ferrell of Wake Forest, NC, stepson, David Kenneth McCord of York Haven, PA, daughter-in-law, Katharine Marie McCord of York Haven, PA, stepson, Daniel Ira McCord of Wake Forest, NC, stepson, Joshua Thomas McCord of Wake Forest, NC, grandchildren, Asher David McCord of York Haven, PA, Holden James McCord of York Haven, PA, Quinn MaryKate McCord of York Haven, PA and sister, Janet Marion Ferrell of Raleigh, NC.
