Joseph Michael Burkett

Joseph Michael “Mike” Burkett, 65 of Youngsville, NC; went to be with his savior Jesus Christ, September 16, 2019. He was born in Bluefield, WV on January 12, 1954. He was married to Carol Burkett for 47 years. Mike enjoyed playing music, fishing, amateur radio operations and ministering.

Mike is preceded in death by parents, J.C. and Hallie Burkett.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Burkett, children, Michael Jr. and wife, Becky from Franklinton, Eric and wife, Stefanie from Middlesex, and Robbie from Youngsville, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also, survived by his sister, Sherri Lynn Bailey and husband, Bill of Zebulon, his niece, Selena and nephews, Kenny and Jay.

Mike’s Celebration of Life service will be held at Falls of Neuse Pentecostal Holiness Church, 9501 Fonville Rd. Wake Forest, NC 27587 on September 21, 2019 at 2:00PM.
