Joseph Wesley Cooke Sr.

Joseph Wesley Cooke, Sr, 83, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home. He was born November 1, 1935 to the late Wesley Allen Cooke and Josephine Chappell Cooke.

Joseph was an electrician for many years and was a member of Wake Forest Church of God.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Clara Baker Cooke who died in 2007.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Wake Forest Church of God, 155 E Cedar Ave, Wake Forest. Rev. Philip Lyon and Rev. Mike Wells will co-officiate. Burial will follow at Wake Forest Cemetery.

Surviving are: a son, Joseph W. Cooke Jr. and wife, Karen of Wake Forest; a daughter Sheila C. Gregory of Wake Forest; three sisters, Ruby Weathers and Ann Finch, both of Wake Forest, Mary J. Lester of Raleigh; a brother, Leon Cooke of Youngsville; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Wesley Cooke; a great-grandchild, Wyatt Cooke.
