Joyce Preston Haupt

Joyce Preston Haupt, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2019.  She was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, the daughter of the late Beatrice Montgomery Preston and Fred Martin Preston.

Mrs. Haupt was a lifelong member of the West End Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Virginia.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon April 8, 2019 at the Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.

Mrs. Haupt was preceded in death by her husband, George Boone Haupt, Jr.  She is survived by her children; Gretchen Haupt Wilkinson and husband Billy of Wake Forest, NC and Randall Mayo Haupt of Youngsville, NC, grandchildren; Mary Wilkinson Casper and husband Billy of Wilmington, NC and William Hall Wilkinson, Jr. of Wake Forest, NC, great grandchildren; Joseph Wilks and June Preston Casper and her brother, Fred Martin Preston, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia.
 
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the West End Presbyterian Church 1200 Campbell Ave. SW Roanoke, VA 24016.
