Kaoru Sakamoto Toney

Kaoru Sakamoto Toney, 81 of Zebulon, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021.  She was born May 27, 1939 in Japan.  Kaoru was a member of a Singing Club in Seaside, California prior to moving to North Carolina.  She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed singing karaoke, cooking, calligraphy, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Toney, Sr., and her brother Hajime Sakamoto.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, James Toney, Jr. and wife Claire of Wake Forest, NC, and Ken Toney and wife Philly of San Jose, CA, four grandchildren, Ashlynn, Alexander, Nicky, Lexi Toney.
