Lawrence "Larry" James Caton

Lawrence “Larry” James Caton, 76, of Wake Forest passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. He was born October 19, 1943 in San Francisco, CA, son of the late Lawrence Marion and Violet Caton. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Connie Lee Hobbs, Donna Tidmore and Arelita Meyer, a brother, Bruce Caton, and a beloved niece, Erika Suzanne Woodlief.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Wake Forest Cemetery with Rev. David Britt officiating.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Caton, and beloved dog Missy of the home; one son, James Caton of San Jose, CA; two daughters, Linda Terry and husband Mitch of Knightdale and Cindy Brooks and husband Marvin of Zebulon; one grandson, Buddy Brooks and wife Devin of Carolina Beach; one great grandson, Blayze Lawrence Brooks of Carolina Beach; beloved granddog, Millie Terry; three sisters, Frances “Toots” Holm, Bonnie Cassel, and Beverly Penelli; two brothers, Lewis Caton and John Caton, and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. He is also survived by special ones he considered family, David and Brenda Andersen, Kevin Womble, Callie Twiss, John Wayne Beddingfield, and Tony Pretty.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts be made to the Erika Suzanne Woodlief Memorial Scholarship Fund, Office of the Institutional Advancement, Meredith College, 3800 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27607-5298.
