Lena Ann (Osborne) Moore

Lena Ann Moore passed away peacefully on 04/24/2022 in Durham, NC at the age of 79. Lena will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, extraordinary mother and grandmother. Lena’s family and friends will continue to celebrate her life filled with contagious smiles and encouraging words.  

Lena was born on September 7th, 1942, to Patrick and Martha Osborne. Lena was a long-time employee of the Cleveland County School system and retired after a 30+ year career.  Lena enjoyed reading, going to church, Bible studies, watching the Hallmark channel, playing cards with her friends and spending time with her family. Lena was a long-time member of Union Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, and then, later, became a member of Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC.

Lena is survived by her sons, (Tripp) Howard M. Moore, III and wife Jamie of Forest City, NC; Patrick Seth Moore and wife Amanda of Wake Forest, NC; her immensely treasured grandsons, Tanner and Cullen Moore both of Wake Forest, NC; and two grandsons-in-love, Nicholas Brown of Forest City, NC, and Jacob Brown of Greenwood, SC. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Howard M Moore, Jr; Father Patrick Osborne, Mother Martha Roberts Osborne, and Sister Lynn Osborne Cook. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bright Funeral Home 405 S. Main St Wake Forest, NC  27587 on Thursday, April 28, 2022.  Receiving of friends will begin at 9:00 am in the Magnolia Room and end at 11:00 am with the funeral service starting immediately after in the Chapel.
