Leon S. Carter

Leon S. Carter, 92, of Youngsville, passed away on Tuesday morning April 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Beaufort, SC the son of the late Norma Morrall Carter and Leon S. Carter, Sr. and was preceded in death by a son-in-law; Mark Aldridge.

Mr. Carter was a veteran of the US Navy and was retired from the North Carolina Division of Parks.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Harris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife; Annie Brown Carter, daughters: Nanette Verbrigghe and husband Hank of Bunn and Bonnie Aldridge of Louisburg; a son, Rodney W. Carter of Youngsville, a sister, Anniemae Busbee of Beaufort, SC, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Harris Chapel Baptist Church 2960 Tarboro Road Youngsville, NC 27596.
