Linda Averette Jones

Linda Averette Jones, 70, of Rolesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born in Wake County, and was a life-long member of Rolesville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Handbell Choir. Linda retired from PCS Management after many years of service and later from the NC Department of Correction. She enjoyed caring for others and spending time with her family and many friends, especially her “Lunch Bunch” crew. The many great memories made with family and friends at Kerr Lake over the past 40 years will be cherished forever.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Rolesville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Douglas Branch Jones; sons, Alexander Douglas “Al” Jones (Shannon Griffin) and Bradley Horton “Brad” Jones (Dayla Jones) all of Rolesville; brother, Larry Averette (Sandra) of Youngsville; grandbabies, Zander, Kylie, Ashton, and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy “Dot” Averette and R. A. Averette, Jr. and by her brother, James Robert Averette.
