Lonnie Thomas Wilson III (Tommy)
March 1, 1942 – July 16, 2018

Tommy Wilson, 76, died peacefully at his home on July 16, 2018 after a battle of Lung Cancer. Tommy was born March 1, 1942 in Durham, NC, the oldest of 6 children, the son of LT and Margie Wilson.

Tommy graduated from Rolesville High School in 1960. He later became a member of the Raleigh Police Department for 14 years. He eventually left there and became the owner of T & T Carpet Cleaning.

During his lifetime he especially loved playing golf and played every chance he could. He loved to watch football, baseball, basketball and watching his grandkids play ball when he was able. Throughout his last 18 months he maintained a deep faith in God and leaned always on Jesus. He would talk to anyone he could about his love for the Lord. He loved his church and church family at Faith Baptist Church.
Tommy loved and lived life to the fullest. He loved people and never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh and loved pulling a quick joke on someone every chance he got.

He is survived by his loving wife, Terry, his sons David, Tony (Amy) and daughters Amber (Wesley), Michelle (Bart), 10 grandchildren, LT Wilson, Kelly Lantz, Lindsey Wilson, Samantha Campbell, Brad Wester, Eva Porter, Cooper Porter, Sadye Porter, Mackenzie Thomas, Blake Thomas, 5 great-grandchildren, Kacey Lantz, Brody Campbell, Colby Lantz, Laney Carroll, Luke Carroll, 2 sisters, Sue Wilson and Fran Keith, brothers Leslie Wilson and Jimmy Wilson.
