Lora (Weaver) Horton

Lora Ann Weaver Horton, age 92, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully at Rex Hospital on July 5, 2022. She was born in Wake Forest on October 4, 1929 to Frank Hicks Weaver and Clara Poole Weaver. Mrs. Horton was employed by the NC Department of Corrections in their Accounting Department for many years. She loved the Lord, and her family.  She was an angel on earth and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Mack Weaver and her grandson Kyle Horton. Survivors include her son and daughter in law Dr. Maurice and Allison Horton of Wilmington, NC; daughter and son in law Beth and Dean Smith of Zebulon, NC; grandchildren Katie, Chase, Chaney, and Lily Horton. The funeral service will be held at the Church of God in Wake Forest on Tuesday, July 12 at 11 AM, followed by interment at Wake Forest Cemetery.
