Louis Anthony Dorsey

Louis Anthony “Tony” Dorsey, 70, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Duke Medical Center. He was born January 31, 1947, in Vance County, to the late Louis Beam Dorsey and Ruth Wester Dorsey. Tony was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale Dorsey, as well as his parents.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 in the Franklinton Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Tony is survived by his wife, Debbie Dorsey; daughter, Tanya Dorsey (Anthony); grandchildren, Unique Chavis, Destiny Chavis, Ayden Perry, Dorsey Perry, and John Dorsey; sisters, Barbara Vaughan, Deborah Odonohue (Tom), and Chris Bonvillian (Tracy); and lots of very special cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends 1-2 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 prior to the funeral service at the Church.
