Lula Barnes Frazier McGhee, 95, of Wake Forest, passed away Monday morning, July 27, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Violet Pearce Frazier and James Robert Frazier and was a longtime member of Rolesville Baptist Church. She was married to William Ralph McGhee who preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, July 29, 2020 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ray Frazier and the Rev. J. Marshall Neathery officiating. Burial will follow in the Rolesville Baptist Church Cemetery. Because of COVID 19, face coverings and social distancing are requested.
Mrs. McGhee is survived by her daughter, Jewel M. Kirk and husband, Ray, of Raleigh; sons, Tommy McGhee and wife, Wanda, of Wake Forest and Randy McGhee and wife, Belinda, of Wake Forest; sisters, Myrtas F. Baker and husband, Derward, of Raleigh and Pearl F. Keith and husband, Willard, of Wake Forest; brother, Roy Frazier of Wake Forest and Ray Frazier and wife, Sandy, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Blair McGhee, Leslie Demers and husband, Jeremy, Travis McGhee, Trevor McGhee, Aaron Kirk and wife, Laura Hunter, Amanda Creasman and husband, Ethan, and Andrew Kirk; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Demers, Liam Demers, Colton McGhee, Ezra Kirk, Lou Lou Kirk, August Creasman and Mavrick Creasman. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Douglas McGhee; her sister, Thelma Jones and by her brothers, Earl Frazier and Syl Frazier.
