Maria Teresa Jimenez, 88, of Wake Forest passed away on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson.
She was born in Silvia Colombia the daughter of the late Amelia Orozco and Victor Luis Guerrero. She was always a spiritual person and at one point even considered nunnery. She was very studious and was able to obtain a scholarship to the American School in the United States for English. Her life changed however when she met and married Hernan Jimenez with whom she had two sons, Hernan John and Victor Luis. She did ultimately complete her certificate degree in English and finished her working career as an administrative executive secretary. She enjoyed reading self-help books throughout her life and communicating with distant relatives, and friends via Facebook and emails. She was a loving influence on the lives of those she touched but especially her nieces and nephews.
A mass of resurrection will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday morning January 25, 2020 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Mrs. Jimenez is survived by her husband; Hernan, son Hernan John, daughter-in-law Evelyn, grandchildren: Cristine, Samantha, Gabriel and brother Alfonso Maya.
