Marvin Webb Whitt

Marvin Webb Whitt, 86, passed away Tuesday morning August 28, 2018. He was born in Granville County, the son of the late Evie Sue Davis Whitt and Hester Thomas Whitt. He was preceded in death by a great grandson; Brahm Copeland Scarpace and by his wife; Patsy Pearce Whitt.

 Mr. Whitt was a member of the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg. He was a member of North Raleigh Chapel. He was a hardworking man and loved the Lord, his wife Patsy and his two girls dearly. He also treasured his relationships with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his brothers and sisters.

He loved the outdoors; camping, boating, skiing, NASCAR, tree service and just tinkering around. His girls say, “there was nothing Daddy could not fix.”

He longed to be back with his true love, Patsy, again in heaven, but he will be truly missed here until we meet again on those heavenly streets of gold.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 on Friday afternoon, August 31, 2018 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Mark Schell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mangum Family Cemetery 8320 Mangum Dairy Road Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Mr. Whitt is survived by his daughters: Wanda Whitt Eaton and husband Randy of Wake Forest, Marti Whitt Fennema and husband Anthony of Wake Forest; sisters: Thelma Liberty of Newport News, VA., Wilma McDonald and Shirley Booth, both of Durham, Anette Hughs of Creedmoor; a brother, Ted Whitt of Mckenney, VA., grandchildren: Scarlett and Worth-Wade Eaton of Wake Forest, Jessica Donar and husband Brett of Raleigh, Whittney Carlton of Raleigh, Tiffani Arostegui and husband Brandon of Raleigh and Tyler Carlton of the U.S. Navy; great grandchildren: Rylan Carlton, Lucille and Arbor Scarpace and Forrest Donar.
