Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Joyner, 87, died Monday, May 22, 2017. Betsy was born September 17, 1929, in Granville County, to the late Edna Louise Ford Baker and the late John Alexander Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, as well as her husband, James Sidney Joyner.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.
Surviving are: a daughter, Carol Louise Joyner Lukosius and husband, Paul of Youngsville; two grandsons, Daniel James Lopez and wife, Meara Lopez of MN, Joseph Bryan Joyner Lopez of Franklinton; three nephews, Richard Bryan Finger of Athens, GA, John Charles Finger of Greenville, SC, David Michael Finger of Greenville, SC; two nieces, Nell Baker Finger Nanarello of Greenville, SC and Candace Ethridge Cornell of CA; many other nieces, nephew, cousins and their families.
In lieu of flowers, Betsy’s family requests that those who wish to do so remember her with a donation to the ASPCA, a children’s charity or charity of one’s choice
