Mary Taylor Ogles

Mary Taylor Ogles, 93, of Wake Forest passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.  She was born on February 22, 1930 in Somerville, Alabama.  Olene was the oldest daughter of the late Edgar Taylor and Libby Dyer Taylor of Somerville, Alabama. 

Olene graduated from Costco High School in Cotaco, Alabama.  Olene entered business school and graduated from Albright Business College in Decatur, Alabama.  Olene retired from both Monsanto and IBM. 

Olene was active in her church and community.  She was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Raleigh since 1972.  Olene volunteered for Meals on Wheels America and was a member of the Raleigh Garden Club, the Cary Senior Center, TOPS, book clubs, in singles and directed weddings. 

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Sandling and husband Bobby Franklin Sandling, granddaughter, Kelly L. Sandling and a sister, Susan Rogers-Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
