Mary Jane Savage

Mary Jane Savage, 84, died Saturday, September 8, 2018. She was born September 19, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Henry and Helen Rogers Chubbuck. She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received her master’s degree from Penn State University.

Mary Jane was a teacher for over 20 years in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District in Pennsylvania. She self-published several children’s books.

She enjoyed reading, gardening and most of all her family.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Henry Savage and a sister, Helen Louise Nason.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at North Wake Church, 1212 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC. A reception will follow service at the church.

Surviving are: her children, Mark Savage and wife, Blaire of Wake Forest, NC, Amy Blawas and husband, Mike of Raleigh, NC, Linda Savage Messner and husband, James of Selinsgrove, PA and Thomas Savage and wife Annette of Ambler, PA; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a brother Henry Chubbuck and wife, Tina of Ambler, PA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made any charity in Mary Jane’s memory.
