Nancy Converse Frost

Nancy Converse Frost passed away on November 22, 2021.  Nancy was the oldest daughter of Air Force pilot Lt. Col. Walston Jones, who flew 58 B25 bomber missions during WW2 and continued serving our country through the Korean and Vietnam wars. Her mother also proudly served as an Army nurse in North Africa, where they met and fell in love. Growing up in an Air Force family, Nancy traveled the world including deployments in Newfoundland and later in Japan, where she attended high school and took horseback riding lessons from the emperor’s equestrian instructors. Later in life, she loved to visit Myrtle Beach and her lake house in North Carolina.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill Jones and her husband Kenneth Frost, Jr.  She is survived by her sisters Lucilla Esham of Millsboro, DE and Audrey Jones of Colorado Springs, CO, her brother Buck Jones of Pearl Harbor, FL, her son Garin Buckles of Oregon, and her beloved dog, Bonnie.

Services will be held December 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Wake Forest, NC and she will be laid to rest December 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. May she rest in peace and God’s love.
