Nancy Elizabeth Tissot

Lib Tissot (88) of New Bern, NC, passed away on September 17 in Wake Forest, NC.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Tissot, with whom she enjoyed 51 years of loving marriage, and by granddaughter Casey D. Mock.

She traveled the world as an air force wife.

Lib was an elementary school teacher and a dedicated genealogist. She established a genealogical society, The Order of the Descendant of Ancient Planters.

She is survived by daughters, Nancy Loftin and son-in-law Edwin of Titusville, FL, and Deborah Mock and son-in-law Kenneth of Youngsville, NC, three grandchildren, Christen Pope and husband Josh, of New Bern, NC, Lee LaPlace and husband Jon of Garner, NC, and Raymond Loftin and wife Julie Mancera-Loftin of Bonita Springs, FL, three great grandchildren, Jaden Pope, Sydney Pope, and Felix LaPlace.
