Patricia Faye (Ham) Walston

Patricia Ham Walston 81 of Wake Forest, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  She was born February 9, 1940 in Greene County, NC to the late Henry Lee and Helen Radford Ham.  Having lost her parents at an early age, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Walter and Annie Reeves.  Patricia attended Glen Royal Baptist Church in Wake Forest.  She enjoyed reading her newspaper in her rocking chair, her dogs, going out to eat, and going back to her home place to visit.  In addition to her parents, and the Reeves family that raised her, she was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Walston, two sons, Glen and Michael Walston, and her brother Johnnie Ham. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her cousins, Geraldine Hamm of Maury, NC, Ann Batten of Walstonburg, NC, Dorothy Scott of Snow Hill, NC, and Bud Radford of Rocky Mount, NC,  her friend and guardian Doris Carter of Wake Forest, a special friend Ron Huggins of Youngsville, her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Walston of Holly Springs.

A funeral service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wake Forest with Pastor Allen Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s name to Glen Royal Baptist Church, 731 Elizabeth Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
