Piotr Ilies

Petru Ilies, 60, of Wake Forest, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at home after a long suffering lung cancer disease. He was born January 22, 1963 in Moldova, a son of Ivan Ilies & Elena (Bezusca) Ilies.

He was a member of Bethel Moldovan Baptist Church. In his early years he loved and had an amazing talent to draw and he loved to sing. He also loved fishing and he was walking a lot. In life he was a hard working and honest person. He loved life and was always enjoying to play with his grandchildren. But his life ended too early, and left behind his wife, Axenia, his son, Nicolae and daughter in law, Ina with 3 grandchildren, Ben, Dan & Sam who will miss him.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St Wake Forest, NC 27587 with Pastor Val Vizitiu officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Wake Forest Cemetery, 400 N White Street, Wake Forest, NC.
