Rachel T. Treichler

November 3, 1976 ~ January 18, 2020 (age 43) 43 Years Old

Tribute

Rachel Tripp Treichler, 43, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2020. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on November 3, 1976, Rachel lived in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, Ryan, and two children, Noah and Emma, where she devoted her life as a follower of Christ and was committed to her family and friends.

Rachel, a graduate of Liberty University, was known for her love of the all things good in this world, the beach, and all things Disney, but most notably for her courage and grace in everything she faced. This prevailed in her long courage-filled battle with breast cancer. To know Rachel was to know the fullness of life. In her last days, she described her own life with “thankfulness,” noting what makes it all so wonderful is knowing Jesus. The last verse she publicly spoke to the world, Romans 5:3-5, captured Rachel in all of her fullness. “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope.” Rachel exuded character, perseverance, and hope and all other things that exemplified a life surrendered to Christ.

Rachel is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ryan and her two children: Noah and Emma; her parents, Joseph and Patricia Tripp of Chesapeake, Virginia, grandmothers: May Boulds & Hazel Tripp; and her sister Ashley Gault (Travis),  numerous nieces and nephews,  and in-laws Lee and Julie Treichler, Lora and Seth Valentine, Renee and Scott Wickham,  and Emily and Ben Smith. She also leaves behind her small group of special friends that are like family,'Ohana.
