Rhonda Michelle (Crocker) Howell

April 14, 1979 – January 26, 2022 (Age 42)

Rhonda Howell passed away Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 2:47pm after a courageous hard fought 6-and-a-half-year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to all.

Rhonda was born April 14, 1979 and raised in Wake Forest, NC. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Economics and a minor in French. She went on to have a successful 15-year career in banking as a loan underwriter before she was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2015. Rhonda went on to become a diligent patient advocate for Metastatic Breast cancer including becoming a patient ambassador for Pfizer in 2016 and secretary board of directors for METAvivor Research and Support Inc. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 Rhonda and her husband, Adam, co-chaired 3 charity galas and raised a total of $375,000 for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research.

Rhonda enjoyed traveling the world, shopping, and making handmade greeting cards. Rhonda’s greatest achievement was being a mother to her son Luke. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her son Luke and husband Adam. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 10 years, Adam Howell and son Luke; parents, Don and Ginger Crocker; brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Jenny Crocker, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a special aunt Carol Kregar. She was predeceased by an older brother, stillborn.

A service will be held at Zebulon Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC on Monday January 31, 2022 at 11:00am followed by a private burial service at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a special account at State Employees Credit Union to benefit Rhonda and Adam’s son Luke.
