Richard A. Branch, age 80, of Wake Forest, NC passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Richard attended Frederick Military Academy on a full scholarship. After graduation he served in the Army National Guard and pursued his career goal in law enforcement where he served with the Wake County Sheriff’s Department for 14 years and retired as a Detective Sergeant with the Town of Wake Forest. After retirement, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with the love of his life and grandchildren.
He is survived by his love, Phyllis (PJ) Chalk and sister, Helen Corrina Dalzell.
A time of visitation will be held 10-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587. 919-556-5811
A graveside service will follow beginning at 11:30 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest.
