Richard William Winegarden

Richard William Winegarden of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 3, 2022, at the age of 90.Richard was born in Elsinore, California, the son of Luella Sherrod and Lester Winegarden. Mr. Winegarden served his country in the US Navy.  He worked for IBM for over 30 years and lastly, he was the Owner of a cable company and real estate.

Graveside services will be held at the East Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro on Friday,  February 25th at noon.  Richard is survived by his wife Janet Winegarden and sons Rick and wife Dianne Winegarden of Wake Forest, Frank and wife Kerry Winegarden of Willow Creek, California. Two grandchildren Lori Hammond and Nick Winegarden. Memorial Contributions can be made in his memory to the Alzeihmer’s Foundation https://act.alz.org/site/Donation
