Richard Milton Braun

Richard M. Braun passed away on Thursday August 31, 2023 after his courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. 

Richard was born to the late Gustave and Betty Braun.

He was a devoted husband and terrific father and is survived by his wife Carla Hughes Braun, son Shaughn (Jenn) Braun of Lock Haven PA., daughter Shana (Travis) Williams of Harbor Springs MI., grandchildren Savanah Savage, Shelby Savage, Briannah Braun, Kaelynn Braun, Addyson Braun, and Gabriel Braun.  Sister Sandra (Jeff) Ludy of Houston TX. 

He was preceded in death by sisters Ellen Covio and Betty Jean (BJ) Saunders.  He   retired from Dow Chemical following a 30 year career in 2002, and moved to Creedmoor NC.  Richard was a Christian man, excellent cook, enjoyed motorcycles, cars, camping, traveling, football (GO BLUE!), Nascar, reading and helping others. 

He always gave more than he received.

Per Richard's request cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be held on September 15, 2023 at 11:00am at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church, 3500 Bruce Garner Rd Wake Forest, NC 27587 with the Rev. Alvin Thomas officiating.
