Rita Grace (Gruebel) Graney

Rita Grace Graney (nee Gruebel) passed away on March 12, 2023.

Rita was born in Williston Park, New York on May 4, 1956 to the late Matilda and Francis Gruebel. She lived in Port Jefferson Station, NY and later retired to Wake Forest, NC.

In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her husband Kevin Graney; son Dennis Graney; brother Thomas Gruebel (Linda); and brother-in-law, Edward Heed.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin, James (Kate), and Joseph; daughter-in-law, Michaela; grandchildren, Grayson and Stormy; brother, Francis E Gruebel (Patricia); sister, Barbara Wolf (John); sister, Marie Gruebel (Jody); sister, Catherine Heed; sister Patricia Morris (Robert); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on March 25, 2023 11:00 a.m. at Hope House Mt Sinai, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hope House in Mt. Sinai, New York; the American Cancer Society; or your local food bank.
