Robert Joseph "Bob" Hohlefelder Jr.

Robert J. “Bob” Hohlefelder, Jr., 78, of Wake Forest passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Bright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

As the only child of Robert Joseph Hohlefelder, Sr. and Emma “Susie” Hannon Hohlefelder, Bob was born on September 29, 1942 in Abington, PA.

Bob was a graduate of Central Bucks High School and attended Penn State University. He enjoyed sailing and being a member of the Red Dragon Canoe Club. His lifelong passion was serving and being a volunteer EMT and volunteer firefighter. In 1991, he became an Honorary Life Member of Enterprise Fire Company in Hatboro, PA. He was a 1st Lieutenant with the Hatboro Rescue Unit in the early 1970’s and a Chief Engineer. Their call number was 981.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen T. Hohlefelder, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Robert J. Hohlefelder and wife Rachel of Youngsville, Kristin M. Hohlefelder of Louisburg, Megan Young, Kayla, Christian, Madison, Macy, L.J., Terri, Aiden and Layla and Bob’s oldest daughter, Barbara String and her children, Katie and Grant Miller from Clinton, NJ.
