Ronald John Wells

Wake Forest, NC - Ronald John Anthony Wells, 75 of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Ralph K. Wells and Rosemary C. Wells.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bright Funeral Home chapel.  Click here to live stream this service. Social distancing is appreciated and face coverings are required.  The interment will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest with full military honors.

Ron proudly served in the US Air Force for 21 years and retired in 2015 from the NC Department of Labor as a District Safety Supervisor.  During his career, he was a leader, advocate, and teacher.  He always led by example, doing things his own way.  While he enjoyed muscle cars, tooling around in the garage, old westerns and kung fu movies; at his core, Ron lead a life of love with his family.  Ron grew to truly understand love through his marriage to his wife and the raising of his kids.  By helping with homework, reading at night, problem solving, and his guiding presence, he completely and selflessly loved his family.  He was a man of immense inner strength and was the best husband and father a family could ask for.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Janis Arleen Wells; three daughters, Deidre Molchan and husband Andrew, Jenifer Curran and husband Andrew, Amber Wells and fiancé, Steven Jordan; three sons, David Matzer, Jr. and wife Amy, Todd Wells and wife Jennifer, and Kaleb Wells; four grandchildren, Seth and Hazel Wells and Jocelyn and Claire Matzer.  He is also survived by a brother and 4 sisters.
