Ronnie Allen Ketchum

Ronnie Allen Ketchum, 67, of Wake Forest passed away on Wednesday March 18, 2020. He was born in Onslow County the son of Troy and Edith Ketchum. Ronnie was retired from the Cary Fire Department.

Ronnie always looked forward to the NC State Fair where he sold peanuts for The Peanut Roaster. He loved seeing families come by every year. He loved Beach Music and shagging, Southern Gospel singings, NASCAR, and trips to the beach and mountains, but the mountains were his favorite. He never met a stranger and he loved life and lived it every day to the fullest.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2020 at Wake Forest Cemetery. After the Coronavirus restrictions are lifted a memorial service will be held at the Glen Royal Baptist Church.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Brenda Weathers Ketchum, his mother; Edith Foy Swinson of Maple Hill, brothers: Donald Ketchum and his wife Pat of Las Vegas, Jimmy Whittman and his wife Jackie of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews, father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Ruby Weathers of Wake Forest, and also his brother and sister-in-law, Marvin Weathers, Jr. and Kim of Wake Forest; special aunt, Phoebe Foy. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Ketchum.
