Sandra L. Post

Sandra “Sandy” L. Post, 73, of Emerald Isle, NC passed away February 21, 2020. She was born June 7, 1946 in Amenia, NY, a daughter of the late Roger and Marion Schiffer.

Sandy attended Keystone Junior College in Pennsylvania and obtained her Associates Degree there. She worked for many years for Xerox in Rochester, NY and also for Sound Furniture in Cedar Point, NC. Sandy attended The Emerald Isle Baptist church. She volunteered at Carteret library in Cape Carteret, NC and the local food bank. She loved to read with a good cup of tea, shop and fish with her family. She really enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and taking them to the beach and to Disneyworld. 

Sandy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert B. Post; her children: Michelle Pope and her husband Troy Pope of Midlothian, VA, and Melissa Balourdos and her husband Kosmas Balourdos of Wake Forest, NC; her grandchildren: Finley and Davis Pope and Emily and Addison Balourdos; and her sister, Susan Sherow of The Villages, FL.

This will be a celebration of her life and the things she loved. If anyone has a story to tell, we would love to hear it! Also, feel free to wear casual, colorful clothes, or mom's favorite color, teal or beach blue!

Donations to the church or the NC Food Bank at the Hem of His Garment in Swansboro NC may be made in my mother's name.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Sandra’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
