Sarah Louise Pleasants Bailey

Sarah “Louise” Pleasants Bailey, 94, of Wake Forest passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was born in Wake County daughter of the late Sarah Haswell Pleasants and William Robert Pleasants. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Bailey, daughter, Judy Bailey Brewer, grandson Danny Cash and son-in-laws Dan Cash and Bobby Brewer, sisters, Alice, Mable, Mattie Lee, brothers, Victor and Valton.

She is survived by daughter Kay Bailey Cash, son Raymond Everett Bailey and wife Gwen. Granddaughter Dana Cash Sherron and husband Rex. Grandson Raymond Everette Bailey, Jr. and wife Cathy Jo, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She began working at Westinghouse as a young girl and retired from there many years later.

Louise was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She enjoyed being an active member for as long as she was able.

She loved working in the garden alongside her sisters. She also loved being a helping hand in the community to anyone that was in need. Louise never met a stranger and she loved everybody.

Louise will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.

Bright Funeral Home is caring for this family. A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, August 12, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral Home.
