Sharon Ann (Jenkins) Twitty

Sharon Ann Twitty age 63 of Wake Forest went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, March 13, 2023 after losing a courageous battle to cancer.  Sharon was born in East Orange, New Jersey on August 12, 1959 to Rev. Theodore Jenkins and the late Muriel (Waters) Jenkins. Growing up as a minister’s daughter, she committed her life to Christ at a young age and developed a strong Christian faith in God that she maintained and continued to grow throughout her life. Sharon graduated with honors from Union High along with her High School sweetheart Bart Twitty in 1977. The two would later join their lives together in holy matrimony marriage in 1986. Sharon received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Biochemistry from Muhlenburg College in Allentown Pennsylvania in the Spring of 1981. Sharon was employed as a chemist for Ciba-Geigy in Summit New Jersey until 1990 when she decided to leave the corporate world to start her own business. Her plans would be interrupted in 1991 with the birth of her son, Christian in April. The family relocated to Raleigh in July of 1993 and then expanded in October when her daughter Noelle was born. She gave up her dream of starting her own business to devote her life entirely to her family. She had the great joy of homeschooling her children through high school graduation.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 37 years Bart Twitty of Wake Forest; son Christian Twitty of Kannapolis; daughter Noelle Twitty and son-in-law Jalen Alston of Greensboro; father Rev. Theodore Jenkins; brother Theodore Jenkins Jr and a host of beloved family and friends.

Family will be having a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, March 25 at 1 pm at the Macedonia Church, 186 Burkley Place, Vauxhall N.J. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Macedonia Christian Church.
