Shirley Thelma Winstead

Shirley Thelma Winstead, aka “Wild Woman”, 88, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022.  She was born in Wake County to the late Paul and Rosa Winstead.  She was known for loving her children, grandchildren, music, dancing, playing bingo and watching Steve Harvey.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Denton Cemetery, 4667 Denton Road, Middlesex, NC.

She is survived by her three children, Beverly Adams and husband Jerry of Mooresville, Pamela Barham and husband Donnie of Zebulon and Johnny Joyner and wife Shelia of Zebulon, grandchildren, Christina Barham, Phillip Whitley (Tammy), Alicia Whitley, Melissa Willoughby (Johnnie), ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
