Stanley Frederick Sadtler

Stanley Frederick Sadtler, known to his friends as "Fred," passed away suddenly, from cancer, on January 20th 2018 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

He was a quiet, kind and generous man who enjoyed calling everyone his "BUD."

A native of Miami, FL, Fred worked as a police officer for 25 years with MDPD's Narcotics, Stolen Property and Auto Theft Units. He retired to N.C. in 1997 and has worked as a Special Agent with NICB for the past 20 years.

During that time he has received numerous Awards of Merit from both the NICB and Outside Agencies he has worked with. This includes the Department of Justice/FBI, North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, North Carolina Insurance Crime Information Exchange, "2005 Investigator of the Year" and a variety of Insurance Company Fraud Divisions.

The awards all reflect his expertise, dedication to his work and willingness to help others.

Fred was also an active member of both the Miami 948 & Raleigh 735 Elks Lodges.

Fred is survived by his wife, "Lori!"
