Stephen P Ashley

Stephen Patrick Ashley was the son of George H. Ashley, Jr and Carolyn Currie Ashley and the brother of Ryan Ray Ashley.

He graduated from UNC Charlotte in 1997 with a degree in Civil Engineering and began a career he loved at the NCDOT. He married Beth VanDine in 1998 and they shared 2 children, Connor Patrick and Peyton Mae. They were his truest joys in life.

Stephen always tried to live the best life he could as a Christian for his family and friends in spite of devastating health issues. He loved the simple things in life including time with family and friends and watching his kids play tennis, baseball and dance. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved deeply. His family finds solace that he is at peace and is at home with Christ.  

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587. The family will receive friends following the service.
